eCommerce Integrations
Stock, orders and trade prices that stay right without anyone re-keying them
We’re an Adobe Commerce, Magento and Shopify agency for brands doing £2m or more online. We connect those stores to the systems the rest of your business runs on. If you’d rather plan it face to face, we’re right next to Piccadilly station in Manchester.
Someone on your team probably exports the web orders each morning and keys them into the ERP. Stock updates overnight, so a bestseller can sell out at 10am and carry on taking orders until the next run. Trade prices live in two places, and every so often a customer finds the one that’s wrong.
So we map how your data really moves and build the connection around it. You own what we build.
Most projects start with an NNP Workshop, which gives you a ranked list of what to fix and what each fix is worth.
Which systems have you integrated with?
These are the ones we’ve connected stores to, most of them on Magento and Adobe Commerce:
- Linnworks
- OrderWise
- nCompass
- TruTrack
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- StoreFeeder
- Cin7
- Brightpearl
Running something else? Send us its name. We’ll read its API documentation before we quote, because what it can export decides most of the cost.
What should your store and ERP share?
Before anyone writes code, we agree which system is in charge of each kind of data. Most of the trouble with integrations starts when two systems both think they are.
| Data | Usually owned by | What the connection does |
|---|---|---|
| Stock | ERP or warehouse system | Updates the store often enough that you don’t sell what you haven’t got |
| Orders | Store, then ERP | Sends each order across with its payment and delivery details |
| Despatch and tracking | ERP or warehouse system | Updates the order and triggers the customer’s despatch email |
| Trade and customer prices | ERP | Shows each account its own prices once they’ve logged in |
| Product data | ERP or PIM | Keeps codes and prices in the ERP, and leaves the selling copy to the store |
Most stores start there. Yours may differ, and we’d pin it down in the Workshop or a scoping call.
How does the build work?
We start by reading the ERP’s documentation and talking to whoever supports it. For Reliant, that meant working directly with nCompass.
Then we choose the lightest route that does the job. If a maintained connector covers what you need, we’ll use it and save you the cost of a custom build. A custom integration earns its keep when your pricing, stock logic or order flow won’t fit what’s off the peg.
Every integration gets tested on staging before it goes near the live store. Trade and retail, part-despatched orders, refunds, whatever you actually process. On a replatform, we plan the connection into the launch date. A heavy integration can add time to the build, and we’ll tell you that before you commit.
Magento or Shopify, the job is different
On Magento and Adobe Commerce, you can build the logic into the platform itself, which suits customer-specific pricing and complicated stock rules. On Shopify, the connection runs through its APIs and apps. The first question is what Shopify does natively, and where an app or some middleware fills the gap. Shopify Plus gives you higher API limits, which matters once order volumes climb.
We moved Robinsons of Bawtry onto Shopify with their ePOS connected, so the shop and the website share stock and customer data. Three weeks after launch they had more orders than they could keep up with.
Choosing between the two? Our Magento vs Shopify guide covers how integrations affect that decision.
What a good integration got Reliant
Reliant sell Samsung, LG and Bosch appliances to trade and retail customers from Blackpool. The agency behind their old site was also their ERP provider. Every feature Reliant paid for went out to that provider’s other clients, their competitors included.
They kept the ERP and changed their web provider. We worked with nCompass on a custom integration covering inventory, back orders and product offers. Reliant now own that connection, along with the Magento 2 store we rebuilt on Hyvä.
Across the rebuild, conversion went up 78% and turnover went up 141%. Then they had to hire a merchandiser and an SEO manager to keep up, and they’ve been talking about a new warehouse ever since.
Increase in Annual Turnover
Increase in Average Order Value
Increase in Conversion Rate
When we’d tell you to wait
Replacing your ERP in the next year? Tell us. We’d usually keep the current connection simple, then build properly against the new system once it’s in. Paying for the same integration twice helps nobody but the agency.

Frequently Asked Questions.
Ask my questionIt’s a connection between your online store and the system that runs your stock, orders and accounts, so data moves between them without anyone re-keying it.

Yes, though most of the systems named on this page were Magento and Adobe Commerce projects. On Shopify we connected Robinsons of Bawtry’s ePOS. The approach differs, because Magento lets you build the logic into the platform, whilst Shopify works through its APIs and apps.
Yes, and keeping the ERP you already run is often the sensible choice. Reliant kept nCompass when they moved to a new Magento 2 store on Hyvä, and we worked directly with nCompass on the integration.
If a maintained connector covers your stock, orders and pricing, use it, and we’ll tell you so. Custom work makes sense when your trade pricing, stock rules or order flow won’t fit what’s available off the peg.
We can, on a retainer, alongside the rest of your store. Our maintenance and support retainers keep your ERP, warehouse, payment and marketing integrations connected.
