Shopify B2B
Trade customers who can order for themselves, on the store you already run
We’re a Shopify and Shopify Plus agency for brands doing £2m or more online, and a Shopify Select Partner. We build trade and wholesale selling into Shopify stores. If you’d rather talk it through in person, we’re right next to Piccadilly station in Manchester.
Your trade side has probably grown one relationship at a time. A second store here, a pricing app there, and a few accounts who still email in a PDF because that’s how they’ve always ordered. Someone on your team retypes those, then checks the price against a spreadsheet.
So we move it onto Shopify’s own B2B tools and connect it to your ERP. Your buyers get their own login, their own prices and a quick way to reorder.
Most projects start with an NNP Workshop, which gives you a ranked list of what to fix and what each fix is worth.
What do you get on each Shopify plan?
Since April 2026, native B2B has been on Basic, Grow and Advanced as well as Plus, so you may not need the upgrade you’ve been quoted for. This is how Shopify’s own table splits it:
| Feature | Basic | Grow | Advanced | Plus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Company accounts and locations | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Net payment terms and saved cards | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Quantity rules and price breaks | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Quick order list and easy reorders | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Active catalog assignments | 3 | 3 | 3 | Unlimited |
| Sales staff permissions | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Contextual checkout and storefront | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Catalogs assigned directly to a company | No | No | No | Yes |
| Deposits and partial payments | No | No | No | Yes |
Do you need Shopify Plus for B2B?
Only if you’ve hit one of the limits in that table. Three catalog assignments cover a handful of account types, and there’s plenty of wholesale that fits within them.
Plus earns its cost in two cases. Your pricing was agreed one customer at a time and needs assigning to each company. Or big orders need a deposit up front and the balance on despatch. If neither sounds like you, stay on the plan you’re on. Our guide on when to move to Shopify Plus covers the wider decision.
What do we build?
Shopify gives you the parts. Most of the work is fitting them to how you already trade.
Accounts and permissions
We set up companies, locations and who can do what at each one. A head office can see everything whilst a branch buyer places orders. Got sales reps? They get access to the accounts they look after, on the plans that allow it.
Pricing your team can run
We turn your trade terms into catalogs and price breaks. If your price list needs simplifying to fit, we’ll tell you early. Your team then changes prices in one place rather than across a spreadsheet and an app.
Your trade portal
A logged-in area where buyers see their prices, reorder from past orders and pay on terms. Trade and retail can sit on one store. No more paying for a second site to serve the same catalogue.
The connection to your ERP
Account prices, stock and orders need to agree with the system your business runs on. We’ll check what your ERP can do before we quote, and our eCommerce integrations page covers how we build the connection.
Who’s doing this now?
AutoID sell premium vehicle styling parts on Shopify Plus, with a B2B portal running alongside their retail store. We support that portal as part of our retainer. There’s a call every fortnight and a full CRO audit every three months.

When is Shopify the wrong choice for B2B?
When trade is the whole business and the rules are complicated. If you’ve got approval chains, quoting, huge customer-specific catalogues or pricing logic that changes by the order, Adobe Commerce B2B was built for that. We build on it too. We’d rather point you there now than sell you a Shopify store you outgrow in a year.

Frequently Asked Questions.
Ask my questionYes. Since April 2026, Shopify’s native B2B features have been on the Basic, Grow and Advanced plans, including company accounts, net terms, quantity rules and up to three active catalog assignments.
Unlimited catalog assignments, catalogs assigned directly to a company or location, and deposits and partial payments. If you need any of those, Plus is the answer. If you don’t, you can probably stay where you are.
Yes. Trade buyers log in and see their own prices and terms, and retail customers carry on as normal, so you don’t need a second store for wholesale.
Yes. We’ll check what your ERP can do before we quote, because that decides whether an app, middleware or a custom connection is the right route. Our eCommerce integrations page has more.
Shopify suits trade selling that sits alongside retail, with straightforward account types. Adobe Commerce suits B2B-led businesses with approval workflows, quoting and complicated customer pricing. We build on both and we’ll tell you which fits.
A brand-new Shopify store starts at £12,000 + VAT. We quote a fixed price once we’ve scoped your accounts, pricing and integrations, with payment plans if they help.
